The solemn week.

In exactly 8 hours time, I'm gonna take the last paper of my Poly life. Can't wait to end everything here. Maybe, it would be good if time could stop. Anyways, this week has been a bad week. Met many failures. Didn't do well for my last papers and also, I failed my Driving test twice in a row. Really FML. And, I'm still awake at such an hour. I need to sleep.

Speaking of driving, it makes me feel like an adult, all of a sudden. 3 alternatives. I hope I pass, thro the chances are not high. I can drive, I just need to know the road rules and reminder to self to drive slower!

Jesus, take the wheel. Literally, Amen.

& of cours, speaking of being a young adult, turning more into an adult. I have to learn to manage my finances, not just in terms of saving and spending but more like to keep track of finances.

My UOB Infinite card has arrived, yay. Thanks Mum, through I didn't ask for it but my parents gave it to me. Nah no big deal, cause actually, I won't be spending using it anyways, but just very very excited for the privelleges that comes with it. Can use it personally cause it's my card, I can sign. #justsaying

Anyways, on a happier note, it's my final week in school. Saw the execution week invitation on FB by my HTM/LRM friends. Told myself I MUST try Top Table before I graduate, at least. So though I don't like the Menu of that week, I wanted to go because I just HAD to experience it once. At least... So I booked a table for my groupmates and we went there for lunch in a trying-to-be-not-so-cui look.

Pan-seared Sea Bass & Prawns
This was the reason why I booked Top Table through the other dishes on the menu ain't to my liking. This main course did not disappoint. It was the sweetest and tastiest prawns I have eaten. I could easily pop 50 of those crunchy prawns into my mouth at a go! Wish I could have more. The fish was up to standard as well. Very good!

Lychee Mousse Cake

I only ate the raspberry sorbet topped with peanut ballings. It was good. Not too sweet nor sour.

After lunch, we were in a mad rush to go back to Business school for POE tutorial. Happens to have this cab right in front of TCA. We actually crazily took a cab back to Biz school from TCA. LOL at us. It was only like less than 1km away... TP is small, unlike other schools. What a joke! An experience man, I'm glad we did it. We were on time for lessons! Woohooo!

Last week of Official school

Last official week at school was spent like this, in a summary:

BUSINESS; BSC

Had the longest trashtalk with the beloved maincomms. I reflected. Guess, I have been so very selfish. No doubt if I had to go through this phrase again, I won't choose to change anything because my academics come first that's for sure, but I guess I just have to apologise for being selfish. Probably, I should have balanced my time more. Regretting to run or not isn't important anymore. From the start, Daddy already advised me not to because he said as much as I'm able to cope with my studies and ccas, being a Year3 is a fact and a Year3 means work load content-wise is much tougher. I should have listened. But, being easily psycho-ed by my ex-maincomms, I decided to take the challenge of re-running. Actually one of the reasons being they said 'it's okay to concentrate on your studies for that period of time, the others will understand', but I guess it may not be the same anymore. Not everyone will be able to understand, really. oh and fyi it's because when I was in last year's comm, I never ever complained that much abt studies and bsc reason being I felt everyone would say they have exams and projects as well. Then during the deciding talk to rerun or not, I mentioned that point and they said I was so silly, I should have told them and they would understand... LMAOZ, do you see where I'm coming from now? Hai *shakes head* Anyways, guess I'll just have to buck up & pick up my game... Next few events are major events and as the President, I'm the organiser. No choice but I have to do it, so I will do it! *prays*

LIFEGROUP

Restructure, grads group. Feels so surreal. 3 years ago, first stepped into Poly, I was from EAST Grads group (Secondary School Days) now, it's the Poly Grads group. Time really flies. Current group, more guys than girls. ohmygod, first time SiewLing & I are facing such a gender-inequality mix (hahaha) it's okay. Anyways, I would miss the current girls in my group. Well, moving on is part of life... and for the better. God's plan so none of us would go against it and it's all for the good for us. Just hope that the last few weeks/mths in this new Grads group would be a fulfilling & fun one!

DRIVING

Failed my 1st driving TP practical. Didn't expect myself to pass. Actually, quite surprised and 'proud' of myself that my circuit stations were really good. It's just that when I went on the roads, I changed lane abruptly & that caused Immediate Failure -.-

Went to book a re-test date, & I was really damn lucky. 1 step later, 1 step earlier and I won't get the chance already! Normally it takes 2 months for the next test date, but someone cancelled and when it was my turn to book the new retest date, they told me the next available one which was cancelled is in 10days time! I was so happy! Even though it's during the midst of my end-sem exams, but I just wanna try my luck. See, I always believe everything happens for a reason. Hope 2nd time's a Charm!

SCHOOL WOES?

Oh, btw did I mention, this year the school's chasing over our backs to take NAPFA? I always don't do well. This year, I'm going there to fail. Even planning to fail, so don't bother failing to plan cause there's no plan in the first place. Can't be bothered, just want to go mark my attendance and do whatever comes my way. Things I don't see hope in, I don't bother doing. It's plain honesty. Of course, I'll face it with an open heart and mind, put my heart and soul into it. #justsaying

And, on the last day of school, I ended with a Law Tutorial. Took a class picture and tada! Here we go, GRADUATES of CLASS 3B08 Ay11/12!

After this post, I'm going on a 2week hiatus on this space of mine. Going into the kickass study zone. Gonna chiong for my last 2 papers of my entire TP life. Managerial Accounting & Law. This is certainly not the time to slack fall crash & die. I'll do it, no, We'll do it. BELIEVE!

Can't wait for the exams to end. I'm flying straight after the papers end

Just some time ago, I remember my groupmates & I realised how many days we were left with school, officially. Exactly 1 month, and our TO-DO list was countless literally. Today, I can cross some of the list ALREADY.

Today, it's the Half Mark point. Taking a breather from EVERYTHING that has happen. Shitty or not. I'm glad I'm already half way thru this month. Phew!

POE Individual Report

Oh, I'm even done with my LAST ever presentation. Started with POM, ended with POE. How time flies!

Everything ends on 27th Feb 2012 - Taking my last paper of my entire TP education journey. Can't express how much I wanna graduate and lead a proper life. I've got enough of everything that's piling on me though at least, I don't regret any single thing I've been through these years. Everything happens for a reason, I always say. Face them with a smile, I add on.

Took some time out to have a nice dinner after MA2 test, knowing that the next few days will be dedicated to projects. I even walked home after that!

Exams were kinda a bitch as usual. Hate mugging for exams, I don't think this should be the way kids learn. Seriously, at least not for me... Well however, I know it's something I can't escape from if I'm a student :( But ohwells. I really thank god for sending me ANGELS this Semester. They make mugging for exams so much better, so much more enjoyable. Have been studying with smart kids DHL guys for practically every single exam. I never ever could study in a group, since young, I realised that I must study alone by myself to be able to concentrate. However, this time round, it made me think twice. It's the people I study with that affects me, not simply my learning style... HEH! & our Nicholas even started a whatsapp group for us, which has proven to be the most useful whatsapp grp in my phone thus far, how genius of him to think of that. Although I'm the only girl and ain't as smart as them in the study group, but I simple love how we all can study together.

It's what I call community learning, where everyone learns together and hopefully, do well together. Not A also must Z! (if you get the 'joke' out of it) I mean... This should be the way. I HATE it when everyone's being selfish and not willing to share notes or simple are so damn competitive. WHY OH WHY! Maybe it's just me, but I just don't like it. Too stressful, or maybe I just can't handle it. But, what to do? And, the reason why I'm so glad my study group guys exist is because being competitive somehow has become the connotation of SG's education, yet I'm glad these people are not like that :> Besides, studying together with them actually made me some friends. It's so interesting to see how our group grew from 5 of us to more as time pass. Every next paper, more people join us, haha and I'm happy to see everyone studying together (:

Besides the exams, I stayed up for about 30hours straight with my groupmates. Spent exactly 70hours together, without counting the time we went home just to wash up and back to our project.

FYI, check out the amt of books we borrowed, as usual one huge pile. I kinda find joy in going to the library at these last min hours, and dig out as much books as possible. #cheapthrills!

I can't believe it, never in my entire 3years, have I gone without sleep the entire night just for a project. The previous time, Events Management, our record was 4.30am at SMU. This time, we really broke the record. I'm so glad we were not distracted at all this time round though, must be because we knew time wasn't on our side. Despite minor disagreements here and there, I must say that we worked well as a group and basically we have ches\mistry. Got to have, since we have worked together in the same old group for more than 15projects already... Woah, what would I do without them. Was just mentioning to Zhijun the other day over lunch, 'Next time if I'm in Uni, I think no one would ever laugh at my lame jokes or appreciate them anymore! :( Sighs!' I think Uni is a place where everyone grows up, no more childish business, all business talking. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, because after all everyone in Uni is about the same age as me not older, so maybe all of us will still be as childish as ever *crosses fingers*

2) 2 major end semester papers, Managerial Accounting 2 & Law, worth 50% of the modules respectively

And, I'm taking my driving practical test next week. Through I'm really afraid I'll fail because there's no guarantee and once you make a mistake, it's immediate failure :( So hard to pass but so easy to fail. Tell me, what's the odds? Having said that, I don't want to fail because I've spent so much time and money at CDC. Ohmygod, countless times I've renewed my PDL, top up the driving account, cabbing to and fro there and basically the number of times I've been there ever since I signed up for a student account. That was about a year+ ago. Anyohhows, Wish me lucks!

If you think this is the same as Amazing Race, think again. It might take a little goal setting and running but it is entirely different. The game starts once the passenger gets into the Cash Cab, where Oli lays out the rules of the game. With special focus on general knowledge pertinent to the region, as well as pop culture, the questions increase in difficulty as they go along and every correct answer wins them instant cash!

LIFELINE

The first four questions nets them US$50 each, with subsequent questions pegged at US$100 each. The contestants can salvage their chances by making use of a “Mobile Shout-out” (by calling someone for help) and “Street Shout-Out” (just rolling down the window and asking a random stranger).Additional bonus questions include the ‘Double Or Nothing’, where contestants can opt to either double their earnings or maintain status quo; as well as the ‘Red Light Challenge’ which kicks into place at a red light once the contestants hit the US$200 mark. The goodnews is... I'm on the SHOW!

AXN just got to a higher level of coolness because of us. Just kidding! Chanced upon this mystery show auditions which turns out to be such a cool reality TV show. So I grabbed my girlfriends along with me. Beauty w Brains ^^ Sadly, I didn't manage to catch ourselves on TV because we didn't know when they would film our episode. But, on the bright side, Thank God for Ivory who took pictures of us and notified me on twitter. YAY!

I remember how mystery it was... Got into the 'cab', I was shocked. I was thinking:
1) Why this cab got lights ontop?
2) Woah why our cab driver angmoh one, someone quite cute...

Then, we realised, the cab itself is the show. What a joke! So, the journey started from Parkway targeting to reach Bugis. Failed halfway but good experience!

Expect lots of funny moments in Cash Cab Asia that are bound to crack you up and take the chance to try your hand at the questions. Who knows, you might just be an undiscovered general knowledge whiz!
