Food for Thought
october 25TH, 2013
Located at Singapore Botanic Gardens, this cafe is a perfect place for dining within the nature and away from the bustling city! I'd totally come by to have a hearty meal after a long stroll in the gardens. Simple joys in life, they call it.
I'm amazed at their large production open-concept kitchen. As a child, I always enjoy standing by window panes and peeking in to see what chefs are doing.
In terms of interiors, I like that it's very spacious! Meaning there's space for everyone and you don't have to queue long for a decent seat especially during non-peak hours. Their decorations change every season so pretty much nice when I was there, those paper lanterns were pleasing to my eyes.
Not forgetting the meaningful inspirational reminders from 1 to 5 pasted on its wall.

Food for Thought offers all day breakfast from 8am to 5pm. On the menu, they have standard breakfast works however what attracted me to want to try this place was the fact that I can pick and choose my favourite items; It's all about customisation, isn't it? (:
For just $8, you can choose from any 3 items like Hash Browns, Bacon, Eggs, Sausages... the list goes on... Of course, I got to pick my favourite items which makes it even more awesome! However, the thing about doing what I did is I potentially over ordered hurhurs :/ I'm such a greedypig! Everything looked good on the menu okay!

I thought the garlic mushrooms were the best amongst the three! The juicy black pepper chicken sausages were super tasty but a little too oily. sinful goodness perhaps. The scrambled eggs were the creamy kind thus I didn't like them too. I'd probably go for poached eggs or sunny side up the next time! Oh and I'd get toast too.
|grilled salmon salad|
Not a fan of Salmon, it has this strong smelling taste which I don't really fancy.
However, salmon lovers, you may find this dish interesting! Try it, the greens are fresh and I enjoyed the tangy sauce.
Simple meal to start our day.
Till my next cafe hunt!
