Brunch @ Wild Honey
Breakfast for lunch, Breakfast for dinner. All-Day breakfast sets are one of my favourite meals! I love experimenting with food. Cranberry Nuts Cereal Crunch, Melted Cheese Toast for breakfast. But sometimes, a proper leisurely chillout brunch is simply divine. This holidays I've on a mission to strike off all my brunchplaces-to-visit list in Singapore and conclude the foodhunt with an eventual winner. I'll update again.
So, for today, I met up with my equally 'unemployed' girlfriend for a brunch session at Wild Honey to see what all the fuss was about, after hearing so much raves about its sumptuous all-day breakfast feast.
Oh, just so you know, I have this habit of checking menus online. So honestly, even before going there, I already knew I'm going just to pay for experience, not so much on the food, because the food menu didn't really appeal to my selective tastebuds and appetite. It's just a must-try-at-least-once place, and I'm glad I can proudly now say, 'I've been there!'
Upon entering, I was in love with the comfy decors, making me feel all comfortable and cosy. Oh, it's as if we were overseas. Just look at the bricks and vintage concept and I hope you'r feel what I felt.
Anyways, let me just intro you to how ordering and payment works here. Instead of me wanting to walk to find a nice seat, I was told to order and pay for my food at the counter first. Wow, it's a different first! But I think it's a pretty cool idea. Menus can be seen via the 2 high-tech Mac iPads at the ordering counter, or you can take a look at the written chalkboards at the counter too. Pay up, and get Seated down!
Both of us ordered the English Breakfast set. It was 'THE' thing to order for first-timers like us, and we don't eat Eggs Benedict that's why... Surprisingly, it didn't take long till our food arrived!

English: Scrambled eggs , Pork-like Sausage, Grilled OpenFace Tomato, Sauteed Mushrooms, Potatoes, Unique Broad Baked beans, Bacon, Toasts
I'm quite a picky eater, and someone who doesn't like wasting calories on untasty food. I loved the bread most, which is quite sad because I'm supposed to like everything on my plate and also, the bread is usually not the main highlights of brunch sets like this.
Let me just be neutral and say, indeed it was a hearty good spread of food. However, it's just not suiting to my tastebuds. I don't eat tomatoes, pork, beans already! mygod. Okay so instead, it would be nice for people who likes creamy scrambled eggs, hard sauteed potatoes, pork etc.
Nevertheless, I had a good time catching up chatting with my girlfriend, who doesn't eat much of the stuffs on her plate as well. Sometimes, I think that it's fate that God let us meet each other because we are so alike!
