Sometimes, we need to take a step back and reflect during Christmas...

Is it just about having fun or is it about remembering God's love for us?

*sings* last year, I gave you my heart...

This Year?

I always love Christmas! It's the time of the year where people tend to be in their best spirits and everywhere you go especially in town, there's this joyful festive mood I can't stop smiling. Of course, Christmas is also a time I appreciate each and every individual for being with me in this past year... & youknowwhat??? this year, I bought more gifts for my friends (because there's secret santa gift giving)! And while choosing and buying these various gifts for diff friends, I realised that it's really the time when I get down to thinking deeply what they normally like, what their preferences are and what they really need... well, it's a way of knowing my friends more indepth instead of on the surface (:

Christmas is also a time to celebrate with different group of friends, well it's a very good and very valid reason for people to meet up and some quality time together, right?

on a random note, I wanted to paint my fingernails like these, but due to the lack of time, I couldn't :( I'll do that next Christmas!

These days it keeps raining, and it's not a very good thing to happen esp when a BBQ is going on!

Thankgodness, they already quickly BBQ-ed some food (when the rain wasn't as heavy) before. So when I arrived, there was food on the table. YAY!

#2 Christmas @ Netccentric

Was invited to Netccentric's annual Christmas Party. YAY! They're so sweet, through I'm no more an intern with JPB, I was glad to attend it as I could meet up with my colleagues. I guess... after this party, I don't know when I'll be meeting up/seeing them so yeah :( Anyways, on a happy note, I'll let the pictures do the talking (:

#3 Christmas w TPSN Bizgirls Clique

Initial plan was to dine at ARDENT'S, Neil Road
Even made a reservation for us...

Love the homely garden ambience

However, we were quite shocked that they ONLY serve their Christmas menu at S$68/pax. No sharing :(

Was quite excited to try their brunch all-day breakfast actually. Guess I'll be back for that another time!

Anyways, we were stranded :/

Thankfully, we ended up at Liquid Kitchen, its a newly opened branch.

So far none can beat Mensa's in terms of taste and price... not even this. Having said that, if no Mensa comparison, this salad is nice. I finished every single bite of it! OH! Ask for the vignette sauce if you like it, it's very very good!

Headed over to Swirl Art for some desserts in the rain, we needed something sweet and a place to chill out (and do presents exchange) at! Swirl Art, we found out, closes only at 2am so it was indeed an ideal place. Thankfully, it wasn't crowded at all.

After Shirley's 21st, cabbed down to Orchard Central to meet the SEXXAYES Clique who were long already waiting for me. How sweet of them to wait for me to arrive before starting on gift x-change!

Chilled out at Cold Stone Creamery, one of the coolest X'mas chill out places. Why? It was super crowded and noisy, filled with Christmas songs and cheers from their staff. Seems fun working there...

later part of the night, they actually threw icecreams around for customers to catch. Thank godness, most of them managed to catch it, surprise surprise!

#4 Christmas w IJ CLIQUE

The last time I saw these girls together was probably during my birthday, Early Dec...

Christmas last year was no doubt one of the best clique outings because it's the only event that all 8 of us turned up. This year, it's different. Not as much atmosphere compared to last year cause there was only 5 of us :(

Though we are short of three, I am still immensely thankful that I got to spend the Boxing Day night with them. Potluck again this year, thankgod lesser food! We learnt our lesson. But seriously, we couldn't even finish this year's amount of food, ohno! :(

Watched some TV & when the clock stroke 10pm, we started our 'Secret Santa Gift Exchange'!

Because we couldn't meetup beforehand to luckdraw pick our respectively santee, we always buy a generalised gift for our secret santee. Not as sincere, but ohwells. It's easy for us thankgod, we are all girls!!!

Here's how our version goes...

1. We each have to get a present of any amount

2. Place all of your presents under the christmas tree

sorry, this year we've got no Christmas tree :(

Reginia's staying in hostel & too lazy to set up one at home. LOL

3. Each of us have to draw lots & see who's name we got!

4. Then if you picked out a name, you give the present you prepared to that person

I picked Reginia & Ya Ting picked me!

Some of them prepared individual gifts for each other.. besides the secret santa gifts. Mostly cards, as well!

Thanks girls! Appreciate the gifts!!!

It is incredible at how we have grown up and matured in our own ways through the different

experiences we individually face, but it is even more incredible that we still are so close knitted.

Thank God for this friendship, I'll always treasure it!
