Hi there! I’m Samantha,

and this space encompasses my personal milestones made beautiful in His time. Combining my flair for easy-to-read writing and my love for photography, here you'll find me sharing the thing I'm most passionate about - travel, food, fashion and my conversations with God.

*P.S when God was blessing others with the gift of height, He left me out realizing that great things come in tiny packages, so instead I am gifted with endless energy and a big wide smile to get through difficult times.

Forever & always, a child of God. Through this cozy little virtual haven, I hope each post inspires at least someone out there with my life stories.

Cafebiz @ Traders Hotel

In due celebrations of my beloved Grandma JiaJia's birthday, I decided to treat my family & of course, herself to a good spread of buffet lunch. The only headache was... deciding where to dine at!

I felt bad for not being able to join them for her official birthday celebrations on the actual day, due to school & sorta NDP celebrations:( So yeah, this is my best 'compensation'. It's the thought that counts right!

Definately, all were in the mood for a buffet! After deliberating for quite some time, I decided to drop by Cafebiz at Traders Hotel. "Following a $2.2 million renovation, this place has been transformed from Traders Café, a coffee house, into the current Cafebiz, a nice restaurant that offers Asian-style buffet."

Personally, I felt that the spread was justifiable, however, I didn't really enjoy myself. Well, mainly because the food wasn't to my liking. Standard wise, it was indeed good. Because the rest of them enjoyed and said it was worth the dollars$. Like Daddy said the sashimi and raw food items were fresh, & I guess that's important!229673_10150347906478665_706803664_9466149_746171_n

So here's what I got!

There were very few offerings of dim sum however. I tried the crystal dumpling and prawn dumpling which were not so good in comparison to those at dim sum eateries. It was quite dry and err... Too much skin which was really sticky :(

What sets Cafébiz apart is that, it also offers authentic la mian (hand-pulled noodles)! An in-house chef hailing from China is available to hand-make la mian upon request. I didn't try cause I thought noodles = carbs = waste of calories, because I rather save my tummyspace for other nicer type of food!

And what’s a buffet without cake and tarts?283307_10150347903453665_706803664_9466069_5583707_n198681_10150347903648665_706803664_9466077_5929846_n251551_10150347910203665_706803664_9466203_1615297_n254681_10150347908953665_706803664_9466178_7698004_nTho I don't have a very sweet tooth, I enjoyed the food items served! (:285470_10150347904163665_706803664_9466095_2925715_nHere's the ULTIMATE chocolate fondue, I like them with fruits ^^ & of course, my lovely icecream because it freezes and turns into hard chocolate upon contact w the icy cold icecream! (: YAY!205976_10150347910088665_706803664_9466202_3586321_n283371_10150347909808665_706803664_9466200_7924448_nLook at what I found! The hard biscuits were in glass tubs, haha so cute! I wanted to get a SAMANTHA letter, but damn hard to dig everything out just for the few letters :/& of course, my favourite FRUITS!267261_10150347907068665_706803664_9466156_3837980_n185588_10150347908193665_706803664_9466166_1827366_n254788_10150347903953665_706803664_9466086_7596532_n
The ice cream counter had many flavours, but I really didn't fancy the flavours. They were weird flavours. Like you know, where got buffet icecream don't have standard chocolate flavour de!!!

However, I scooped some for the rest of them & I appreciated the fact that the ice cream was not too hard - I was able to scoop comfortably. The temperature is set just about right so it makes it easier for me to scoop it up without much effort. Awesome!

Loved the dress I bought from Msia, as well! YAY! Fits the occasion yo!
