We went to get BEST FRIES FOREVER!

Have been wanting to try those fries ever since they open quite a while back, but didn't have the chance to do so.

Firstly, let me commend one of their marketing strategies. They place their logo on the top of the stall, so that those people looking down anywhere from Cineleisure, can see them! Quite a smart strategy to attract attention, especially since they are on the Basement level!

I was amazed by the flavours they have there and they all sure looked very tempting!

The fries are best enjoyed with one of the funkily-named signature sauces, such as “friendly fire,” “wazabee,” “wow wow west,” “ole ole,” “gusto garlic” and curry favor. Many of the sauces are unique to BFF and have been specially created to complement the fries.

Tonight, I tried the 'WOW WOW WEST' flavour, consisting of Minced Beef & Melted Cheese.

Okay, what's my verdict?

It's quite IRONIC!

I like it the combination of the sauces and the fries!

Sauce:
Seriously, I wouldn't mind just eating the sauce by itself. For the one I tasted, I really enjoyed the minced beef however, for the cheese, it's a tad towards the creamy than cheesy side, so I didn't exactly enjoy it that much. Nevertheless, that combination was good!

Fries:
You see, I'm a huge fan of soft fries! Usually if I'm in any fastfood chains, I would pick those soft fries and give the crispy ones to my friends, as most people love crispy fries (I mean that's the reason why they eat fries right, or else they would be eating roasted or boiled potatoes) but yes, I'm just different and I like it this way. I always have this thing about - Wondering if soft or crispy fries are healthier through? haha! Food for Thought!

So, what's the IRONY?

After trying it and saying how I think it's nice, there are other factors I considered that made me think I won't go back to eat it, at least to specially go and eat it.

It's good for one-time TRIAL only.

Firstly, it's too sinful and the not the perfect type of fries I die for, thus, not very worth my calories!

The fries were served very oily. (Okay, pardon me if you are those who are thinking 'Duh, it's fries, if she doesn't like oily food then don't eat la!) - My friend once told me 'Fastfood shouldn't try to make themselves healthy, because the fact that I'm stepping into a fastfood chain means I know it's going to be unhealthy and I accept that fact!

So, I'm not going to suggest that they use less oil, instead I just won't buy it again.

Upon looking at the tempting brown skin, I was more tempted to hold a pile of fries up, squeeze them and wait for the oil to drip rather than tempted to gobble them up. And, personally, I prefer the thick fat crinkle-cut fries.

Secondly, for $5 a cup (Large), it's really not worth my money!

It's not even LARGE to begin with +plus for S$5, I could get some other food which is nicer and more filling for my tummy!

In conclusion: Go if you are in for double sinful treats or don't mind/like fries that way!
