Hi there! I’m Samantha,

and this space encompasses my personal milestones made beautiful in His time. Combining my flair for easy-to-read writing and my love for photography, here you'll find me sharing the thing I'm most passionate about - travel, food, fashion and my conversations with God.

*P.S when God was blessing others with the gift of height, He left me out realizing that great things come in tiny packages, so instead I am gifted with endless energy and a big wide smile to get through difficult times.

Forever & always, a child of God. Through this cozy little virtual haven, I hope each post inspires at least someone out there with my life stories.

Breastfeeding Journey

Happy World Breastfeeding Week!

Together with 400 amazing mummies, we broke the SG book of record for the largest online gathering of breastfeeding moms latching together! This invite also allowed us to share expectations vs realities of breastfeeding as well as tips on diets, nutrition, healthy habits and acupressure techniques.

If there's one word to sum up my breastfeeding experience, it would be "SANE" 🤪 I didn't have many ups and downs because I had zero expectations and paced accordingly to what worked best for me. I took on this mother cow 🐮 'job' (and personal challenge) excitedly with the mindset of 'ok if I have milk, great. if there isn't, that's fine'... just go with the flow.

Till today, I still stand by this mindset.

Emmy latches quite well since Day one - i think? hahaha I have no basis of comparison since he’s my first child 😅 At some point, I felt bad for him because he was trying so hard and latching with all his might but I didn’t have enough milk for him… it really takes great partnership & chemistry.

And let's be real. I know of other mums that end up getting super stressed or feel the 'mum guilt' when they don't have enough breastmilk or simply is unable to do so due to medical reasons. I felt it at one point too but the rational me told myself not to be so fixated on it as my mental and physical health may suffer.
I simply do not want to end up dreading every single feed, bleeding, crying, dealing with mastitis etc. My baby would appreciate a happy mummy rather than a depressed mummy with lots of milk.

Best breastfeeding takeaways? It’s my quiet me-time (eg. scrolling social media while feeding), exclusive mother-son bonding time, mastered the art of latching on the go 💨 and knowing the best nursing rooms in Singapore! 🇸🇬

Everyone's journey is unique, so no matter if you breastfeed for a day, a month, or years... be PROUD. You are an amazing mum! 💛

*P.S I'm still super amazed that some mummies have so much milk that they have to buy a separate fridge for it. That's not me for sure!
