Yes, I'm seldom seen in Jeans or Pants, well unless I have to... the most recent being in Israel where we were told to dress conservatively despite walking under the intolerable scorching sun gosh!
But hey, shorts are an exception!
Living in a Summer all year round city called Singapore, it's inevitable that we girls have to be in shorts. When purchasing, I feel less guilty buying shorts, because at the back of my mind… I’m like “Hey it’s shorts. I’ll definitely wear it someday. So sunny in Singapore, confirm got chance to wear!”
I for one, admit that I have many pairs of
shorts - "many" is an understatement, a mountain of them in fact! So many that I if I had a booth at the
flea market, I could totally put all of them up for sale and fill up a booth by
myself. I question myself why on earth do I have so many of them, call me a
shopaholic, whatsoever, but I guess it’s because I have a soft spot for shorts
with detailing, for example those with lace or crochet. It gives the piece a
feminine touch and indeed less boring. They may look the same to everyone else,
but for me, every piece is different. Though… I’m guilty… of not wearing them
and leaving them to sleep in my cupboard :/
Being in shorts allows me to move around easily
and I love how there are tons of designs for women shorts nowadays. You can go
with the slacks style and pair them with a tee shirt or you could be dressed
classy in quality fashionable shorts! Here are some OOTDs I took with the shorts
I currently own. I thought this would be a great way to showcase my summer
trends and how we can easily style shorts without looking too underdressed.
