Hi there! I’m Samantha,

and this space encompasses my personal milestones made beautiful in His time. Combining my flair for easy-to-read writing and my love for photography, here you'll find me sharing the thing I'm most passionate about - travel, food, fashion and my conversations with God.

*P.S when God was blessing others with the gift of height, He left me out realizing that great things come in tiny packages, so instead I am gifted with endless energy and a big wide smile to get through difficult times.

Forever & always, a child of God. Through this cozy little virtual haven, I hope each post inspires at least someone out there with my life stories.

Graduation

Officially graduated happily with wonderful memories and an immensely thankful heart!

I'm definitely not the smartest kid around but I'm a blessed Child of God and everything I have today is a testimony of how my faithful God sent angels to help me along my 16.5 years of formal educational journey - my family, friends, lecturers, tutors, church whom gave me their continuous support, prayers, love and encouragements, trusting that I would always do my very best.

They say Uni is a competitive environment. No doubt. I don't deny when I first entered, I was very intimidated by my peers from elite schools who are much more book-smart than me, they always understood what the prof is saying whereas I'm mostly lost in wonderland. But I dare say, after the first sem, I wasn't affected by it because the goal I set for myself for uni was simply to make the best out of it (scores are just a bonus) by travelling and meeting more people. Today, I'm glad that I accomplished that goal at SMU, where I went for OCSP in Laos, BSM Israel, Exchange in Tokyo, Summer Schools in Canada and London, and made very good friends who were willing to help me out in my studies by teaching me or sharing notes.

To be honest, I don't remember how much I score on my papers and I prolly won't remember all the formulas and theories in years to come, but I will always remember the small little things like blessing my friends with exam packs, offering/accepting prayers in times of need, rushing for back to back lessons, how to come up with the most unique presentation (because we are a different U), brainstorming overnight for the most brilliant ideas, the crazy things we did at orientation camps, rewarding ourselves to post semester feasts and shopping therapy sessions, all the awesome unexpected travel opportunities I was given.

There're many things I've learnt over the years of my education, but one key takeaway for me is really to invest in people's lives and to appreciate and love the people that God has placed in my life. So, thank you all for celebrating this very special day with me.

YAY, here's to another milestone... I can finally say 毕业了!
Finally a proud alumnus of MBS, CHIJ, TP and SMU!
