365 Days // Start of 2015!
Happy 2015, from the both of us!
New Year's Eve was spent at church camp followed by dinner with my dear boy's extended family and ending the night off with countdown at our significant place in Singapore.
It's our second year counting down together, we passed 1314 (2013 to 2014 haha) together at church camp last night floating helium balloons into the skies and hoping it didn't land on someone else's backyard the next day (lol! but that's what he really wrote on his balloon "sorry if this ends up in your backyard. happy new year!"). So this year, we wanted to watch the fireworks together. Ironically, we are not the kind that like squeezing through and with crowds, especially not after surviving the crowded experience of watching fireworks at Disneyland (total nightmare, gosh how could that be a magical experience, Disney I wanna lodge a complain!!!) hahaha that aside, thus we decided to go to our significant spot which proved to be just as good. Good, meaning we could still watch the fireworks (though of course it wasn't as magnificent if we were at the floating platform) from where we were standing at and most importantly, not having to squeeze with anyone beside us. It was just us.
We were standing on the open grass patch. Pure serenity. I didn't take much pictures because times like these, it's more important to cherish the time spent together and to just dwell in the moment. Watching it with your own eyes and feeling it with all your sense instead of hiding behind the camera. And it wasn't a very instagram-worthy post from where we were at, so no point anyways. hahaha new year, I think I gave my doings more thoughts as well.
He taught me the trick of choosing the right spot to view the fireworks. When the crowd was standing at a certain spot, we decided not to follow suit. He said something like if you see MBS building (and some other buildings) then it's a guarantee that you would see the fireworks. hahaha he was so so right! yay! I will never forget the moment we saw one firework up in the skies then we knew where it was coming from and we freaking ran the entire grass patch in the night (don't even know what we would have stepped on) just so we could get nearer to it and have a better view of it.
Both of us were very tired after watching the fireworks because the adrenaline rush of wanting to choose the best spot to view the fireworks, kinda took a toll on us. hahaha such jokers, so we headed home! Home Sweet Home! (:
Cheers to a new year everyone!
May all your wishes comes true in the new year ahead!
