Footloose, got me dancin'!
When: 24 Oct, Monday
Time: 7.00pm
After lunchtime, Elaine asked if we wanted to go watch cause JPB being NN's sister company, gets invitations as well! woohooo! I was so excited like YAY I can go for movies... And, it's cooler than going as the identity of a blogging cause I can just go and enjoy myself (: Plus, I've got the company of my 2 lovely babes. heheh!
So we cabbed down and reach just a little before 7pm. Had dinner in the cinemas, as usual. teeheee. Think I had too much popcorns:( Anyways, in summary, the movie was awesomeee! Got me dancing, or at least... wanting to dance. Sighs, I wish Singapore highschool was that fun.. if in SG it's even called highschool -.- Maybe, if I was brought up in the US thing would be different.
Footloose
Writer/Director Craig Brewer (Hustle & Flow, Black Snake Moan) delivers a new take of the beloved 1984 classic film, Footloose. Ren MacCormack (played by newcomer Kenny Wormald) is transplanted from Boston to the small southern town of Bomont where he experiences a heavy dose of culture shock. A few years prior, the community was rocked by a tragic accident that killed five teenagers after a night out and Bomonts local councilmen and the beloved Reverend Shaw Moore (Dennis Quaid) responded by implementing ordinances that prohibit loud music and dancing. Not one to bow to the status quo, Ren challenges the ban, revitalizing the town and falling in love with the ministers troubled daughter Ariel (Julianne Hough) in the process.
