It's back to school yo!

This sem is the main reason why I chose BSG as my course in Year 1.

After going through and surviving the other subjects I don't like but have no choice... such as Accounting, Econs, Business Finance, Stats etc

I came in with a plan, to take 2 electives - Corporate Communications & Tourism.

Because I couldn't decide between Mass Comm/Tourism... it's too niche...

I hope I didn't make the wrong choice.

This semester has been good to me so far. Even before it has started!
Because, I have good/close friends in the same class as me! I've already form more than half of my project group, how awesome is that!

From a spiritual point of view, it's not a coincidence that God placed them in my class.

Esther, Yu Xiu & I, all 3 from HOPE CHURCH in the same class. Woah, unbelievable!

My plan besides balancing studies and cca, is actually to go impact lives. Especially, those in our class. Because they are the ones who will be together with me for the next 1.5years. I wanna show them how our group is so special & different from the rest, because we have GOD and we place him in the centre of our lives, which includes chionging projects etc... With him, nothing is impossible! (:

And, 'show' meaning I don't have to share Christ with them yet they will ask me about it. I find that really a testimony of lives because we are the walking bibles, like what my pastor once said.

Like every start of the semester, I would say, I don't know how the semester will turn out like, but I know it will turn out just fine, because I trust in GOD. No doubt, I forsee myself having many break downs sessions, HTHT sessions, but I would choose to believe that those things are little steps to make me a stronger person in Christ & also, they are chances for miracles to happen. How can miracles happen without any troubles right?

I've stocked up snacks, sweets and my stationeries for school. But, I'm setting my heart right for school tml. Leanne was sharing during service last Sat abt - PREPARING FOR MIRACLES!

What I find very inspiring is: GOD expects us to do the possible so that HE can do the impossible.

She gave this example, 'Instead of going to sch on Mon thinking when Fri would come followed by when holidays would come... We should go to school with a new heart attitude & do the possible by PRAYING that Mon-Fri would be good!' Only by doing the possible of praying then GOD can do the impossible which neither u nor me knows! But I sure know it's gonna be something good, cause he wants the best for his child.

1) Miraculous is often preceded by Mundane.

Who would want to do routine things day after day? Wouldn't you get bored of it? It's the same for school. We go to school everyday, doing literally almost the same things. Even if we have passion for it, it will die out. YES however, it will build me stronger as a soul, because at least I've experienced it.

2) See things the way GOD sees it.

FEAR = False Evidence Appearing Real.

What we see/hear/feel, may not be the actual thing. It's all in the mind. How everyone sees a certain thing in life is different that's why we can seek many 2nd/3rd opinions, such as when we see doctor or even simpler things like shopping. What we see may not be what GOD sees. How we see a situation, may not be what GOD sees it as.

So why do people see things differently?
Depends on whether we see through our naked eyes or our brains.

WE NEED TO SEE WHAT GOD IS SEEING.

3) Remembering yesterday's miracles will give you today's courage.
Count your blessings!

It's true. If I'm blessed today by one of GOD's tiny miracles, it builds my faith and gives me sorta like a reassurance that I'm his child and doesn't make me lose hope that miracles don't happen. They do. Just got to believe and trust in the LORD. By the grace of the lord and his blessings poured down onto me, it does gives me the courage to carry on and impact more lives around me.

I'll like to start this Sem this time differently. I'll openly make a prayer rather than just type a few paragraphs of words.

Dear God,

Please let me be a blessing to those around me. Use me lord, Use me in your plans to impact lives. I want to show the world that I have GOD in my life. I have many roles to play in this society. I would say I'm a leader, a child, a student, a friend and the list goes on. In the past, I would also say AND I'm a child of God. Now, I would say BECAUSE I'm a child of GOD. It's you lord, that made all these juggling of roles possible. I can't do it by myself because I know I may screw things up halfway. But, I'm confident of doing them well now, because I know since you put me to it, to any test, you will put me through it. And by doing so, I can gladly be a living testimony.

I would love to take joy in whatever I do, be it projects or even things I don't like. To take pride and joy to do it, in your name. I know this year would turn out fine. Just bless me and I'll be a nicer kid to the rest by blessing them around me! I'll be your vessel and hopefully, my teachers and friends can tell a child of god is actually very different from the rest. Grant me the purest of hearts so that I won't judge my new classmates and teachers. I'll try not to! Also, grant me an awesome class with awesome project mates whom I can work with in peace and still score well. It's crucial for me next semester. God, you know me best, from the day I was born, well, you gave life to me. ONLY you know what's in stored for me because it's your plan and you hold the wheel of my life. I'll gladly take the back seat for I know what's in stored for me is a great masterpiece, a great work of yours waiting to be fulfilled.

To be a salt and light and a blessing is what I aim to be this Semester! It's not going to be a bed of roses I am sure, but I will try and be a better kid! :D
