I swear you can't wear heels and be glam at NUS. All you do is climb literal mountains just to reach your destination. We felt so lost, and you know, the sense of satisfaction when you finally found the place, ohmygod! *pats on the shoulder*

I Thank God for you in my life...

I'll probably journal our story into a blogpost, might as well. We have taken tons and tons of pictures, I swear it's kinda countless. Look at how much we have grown, prettier I'm sure(: We've done so much together. From studying, mugging, project meetings, outings, events, photoshoots, suntanning, sports and even spent 5days straight together travelling to a foreign land.

I think the both of us are indescribable, beyond words can describe cause we've gone through so much together already. Thankyou for being such a sister, a soulmate and a friend. I'll remember the sessions we talk things out, we do hthts and all the random crazy moments for the past 3years. Thankyou for being a listening ear because sometimes I feel that only you can understand somethings that I'm going through, probably because you are in the same plight too. Thankyou for letting me be myself when I'm hanging out with you. Thankyou for being someone whom I can be shamelessly honest with. Thanks for being there for me when I needed your support and knowing at the back of my mind that I can always count on you. And, thanks for being the one who understand each other so much so that sometimes we communicate by eye power and can read each other's mind just like that.Say thanks on my behalf to your parents for having you on this day so that gives me a very fab friend. 

Through we have graduated from Poly and decided on our Uni route which sadly differs, I hope that we can still keep in touch. Okay, no not hope. We MUST and We WILL! Travel again soon, *sings* call me maybe? Distance shan't be an excuse, if you're in town come find me or if not I'll  go to hall to find you and you have to accommodate me I don't care. School would feel different without you, and as much as I want to say 'I'm sure school will be fab for you cause I'll meet you everyday', I can't. Nevertheless, you being you, I know you would still have tons of fun and I'm so looking forward to us sharing our diff experiences when we meetup. Everything happens for a reason, so I guess it's God's plan.

 I know that one day you will soar far and be a successful woman, just like what the SZ Fortune Teller told us. Till then, we shall both work hard before enjoying life in the later years.

Now that you are already 20, I actually can't wait for your 21st in a year's time! If you need a party planner, you know who to call!

Upon entering the venue, I fell in love with the pretty TEAL coloured theme for this campaign. It's such a unique colour, and now it represents the Ovarian Cancer Campaign proper. Besides that, I find the decos for the place itself very dainty and princessy, which's good!

• Encourage everyone to spread the awareness of Ovarian Cancer to friends and family members

• Help women be more aware of the signs and symptoms of Ovarian Cancer and to take positive steps

• To consult a doctor immediately should they experience any symptoms

It was an informative session that if it wasn't for it, I wouldn't have gained knowledge about Ovarian Cancer and the dangers it brings *facepalm*. So here in Singapore, We probably have heard a lot of Breast Cancer but not so much of Ovarian Cancer.

BUT, DID YOU KNOW?

Ovarian Cancer is the 5th most common cancer among women, and it happens to 1 in 80 women!

I certainly don't want to be that unlucky woman :( Sadly, there are currently NO tests that you can do to detect Ovarian Cancer, unless breast cancer where you can go for a mammogram etc. That's the risk!

Because that's when people with Ovarian Cancer go to the doctors when their symptoms get too unbearable. Too late, by then the disease is already at Stage III or IV.
I call it the 'Silent Killer'. So, once you feel a little uncomfortable, quickly seek medical advice/treatment!



As scary and risky as it sounds, #factis, the ONLY way to recognise Epithelial Ovarian Cancer is through its Symptoms! :/ And honestly, these symptoms are non-specific, ohno! Nevertheless, I'm gonna list down the common complaints #justincase:

• Bloated feeling in the abdomen
• Abdominal distension
• Abdominal discomfort
• Backache or ache in the legs
• Change of bowel habits
• Urinary complaints
• Abnormal vaginal bleeding
• Loss of Weight

Don't take them lightly! Now that you know about it through reading my post, you are lucky because you know that they COULD potentially be Ovarian Cancer. Just bear them in mind!

Besides feeding us with information about Ovarian Cancer, we were fed with TEAL treats, courtesy of Canele, one of the sponsors of this campaign.

Although she wasn't an expressive speaker, however, her story was so real that it really struck me that Cancer can happen to anyone of us at any one point, even as young as myself... :(
